Sunday Ramblings

Hey, it's neat how the gas prices are coming down, huh? This guy was chit-chatting with me at the pump today, "It's about time we get a break at the pumps, ain't it, Buddy?" Yeah... Whatever... Isn't it a coincidence that gas prices would be falling this close to election time? And they say they can't control the gas prices! Mark my words: Gas will be back at $3 a gallon by New Year's Eve. Maybe even $4... I hate the government! I hate all their little vairous conspiracies, and such...

Ever heard of this guy, Robert Mirabal? My baby girl turned me on to him a couple months ago. Good Native American rock music! I dig it, man!

Had to pay rent again today. Can't remember if I mentioned it, or not, but I've been kinda dealing with the Housing Authority, lately. They help low-income folks buy houses. They're slower than Christmas! They've been, supposedly, looking at this one house for us for the last 3 weeks, but they're not giving us any news. They keep saying, "We'll let ya know something next week," but next week never seems to come! Kinda tempted to go back to the bank, because we really really like this house, man (it's a different house in Chatty... Not the one we were trying for before, or the other one, or that one, but it's different...). We could get the place for $200 a month with the Housing Authority, which would include insurance, and stuff... Or we could go to the bank, and pay $400 a month, plus another $100, or so, for insurance... $200 vs. $500? Hmmm... Oh yeah, and the bank would want this nifty little $5,800 down-payment, too.... And, we kinda don't have that kind of money... Or $500 a month, for that matter... Which is why we're trying the Housing Authority in the first place... Golly, they're slow! They give us 4 months to find a place, and they've wasted almost 1 month on this one place! Do you know anyone who works for the Housing Authority? If so, ask them what the deal is! Why are they so slow, man?!

On the bright side, my depression hasn't been so bad about these money things as it was before, so that's neat... Gives me more time to think about how much I hate the landlord, and greed, and the government, and winter, etc...
