Telescope: Night 1

We FINALLY got to put our Christmas telescope to use, last night! It was warm outside, and it wasn't very cloudly... Those two things have been stopping us for the last few months... I thought I'd start the festivities by aiming the telescope at the moon. You know, get everything focused, and alligned, and whatnot. What I saw was a bit of a surprise. I couldn't stop looking at the moon. It's been there forever, but it was like I was seeing it for the first time... Which I kinda was, I guess. I kept telling Denise to look at it, but I wouldn't let her have the telescope. Heh heh. We got to see it with a lot of clarity, and stuff. It was awesome, dude! I wanted to run out to all the neighbors' houses, and say, "Hey, come and look at the moon!!!" Yeah... As previously noted, I SUCH a nerd! 8) So, yeah, here's kinda how it looked to us, last night, only better:

We also caught a glance of the infamous "Wobble" UFO. It was coming up from the mountain, and we could kinda see it through the trees. I think the light from the moon was making the "Wobble" appear dim, or something, because it didn't look like it usually does. Anyway, we got to see the green, yellow, and red colors through the telescope... But, almost as soon as we got focused on it, some clouds (or fog?) covered the sky, and blocked our view.
